Learn to Curl

The Broadmoor Curling Club holds Learn to Curl Clinics throughout the year and invite the public to attend.  Our clinics offer regular curling instruction and adaptive curling instruction for folks needing to curl from a wheelchair and those who may be sight impaired.

When selecting date, note that the Full Game option is also open to first timers- we will not leave you behind! There will just be more "game" than "lesson".

Parties of 4 will be discounted to $25/ person! Bring your friends!

What to wear: The arena is COLD!  Wear loose, warm clothing (we recommend sweatpants) and clean athletic shoes that will give you good traction on ice. Gloves and a hat are also recommended.  We suggest you dress in layers as you may get warm when you are sweeping. DO NOT wear tight blue jeans.     .

Equipment:  The club provides all necessary equipment to curl such as brooms and sliding devices

Our Learn to Curl Clinics Include:

  • A short introduction to the history and game of curling
  • Review of curling and ice safety tips
  • Stretching and warm-ups prior to curling
  • On-ice instruction with USCA certified
  • Practice sliding, throwing, and sweeping
  • A short simulated game
  • An overview of membership opportunities with the Broadmoor Curling Club and League information
