Curling: A Sport for Anybody and Everybody

Recently, the Broadmoor Curling Club had the pleasure of training a disabled individual to curl on the ice, as she wanted to see how possible it was to do after seeing it on the Paralympics. It was a learning experience, but a fun one nonetheless! Within an hour she was successfully landing almost all of her stones in the house- a feat many of us strive for. All that was required was somebody to stabilize the wheelchair so it wouldn't recoil upon pushing the stone, and somebody to set the stone into the delivery device.

Coincidentally, KOAA was hoping to do a story for the Paralympics as well, so we partnered with them once again to get the word out. Read all about it here- and remember, YOU can curl too with a little practice!
